Wedding pictures of my paternal great-grandparents. All four came to the US from overseas, and both couples got married in New York City about 100 years ago.
My father's maternal grandparents Morris (1890-1962) and Frances (1893-1984) Levin, married in 1908; the guy on the right is an unknown family friend. I only knew my great-grandmother Frances (aka "Fanny"), and I was named after Morris. They met in Bennington VT after immigrating there from Lithuania (Morris from Ivya, Fanny from Vilnius) around 1895.
My father's paternal grandparents Rebecca (1887-1923) and Paul (1882-1950) Grabois, married 1912. Both came to Ellis Island in 1905, Paul from Kishinev, Moldova, and Rebecca from Odessa, Ukraine. Paul was the first one in the family to come to the US, on business. He convinced the rest of the family, his wife included, to go shortly thereafter.
